For the past two weeks we have been talking about what it means to be thankful. We've read several stories, drew pictures and discussed all of the people and things we feel lucky to have in our lives. Yesterday, we celebrated the friendships that we have formed at our class Friendship Feast. Each of the children contributed to our community fruit salad. We also popped the corn we were given on our field trip to Ward's Berry Farm. Finally, we made butter by shaking whipping cream in a jar which we tasted on corn muffins. It was a delicious sharing of food.
The children have also been learning several thankful songs which they sang with both their voices and using sign language (I'm hoping to get that video to you soon!)
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
