Miss Christine’s Daily Schedule
Tuesday-Friday
8:45-9:00 Arrival
Students will take out their snack and place their folder in the bucket. They will hang up their backpack & coat and bring their belongings into the classroom, place them in their classroom cubby and check-in.
9:00-9:30 Explorations
Free Play: the children will explore the classroom materials; sensory table, play dough, open-ended art, dramatic play, building, books, puzzles and games
9:30-9:45 Morning Meeting
Will will sing a hello song and greet each other in different ways. We will discuss our schedule, calendar, weather, and complete a short curriculum activity. We will end our meeting with a poem, song or movement activity.
9:45-10:00 Snack
We will enjoy a snack together. The children will participate in self help activities, hand washing, opening their snack items as independently as possible, and cleaning up after themselves. This is also a great time for language building conversations.
10:00-10:15 Story Time
The children will enjoy listening to a story and participate in discussion about characters and setting as well as simple comprehension questions.
10:15-10:45 Small Group
Students will work in small groups to complete teacher led activities related to literacy, math, writing or a theme.
10:45-11:15 Pack up/Outside
Students will pack up their belongings and we will sing our goodby song. We will then head outside to the playground.
The children will enjoy some social time and running around on the playground.
11:15 Dismissal
The children will be dismissed to their caregivers either from the playground or at the back door.
We will go to the Library and the Gym on alternating Fridays.
